Cyrus Clabeaux

I'm an undergraduate astrophysicist at Stony Brook University — and an illustrator, graphic designer, and violist the rest of the time.
My research runs from black-hole X-ray astronomy at Caltech and the Harvard & Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics to biophysics pipelines that ended up in a published paper. Away from the terminal I draw in charcoal and ink and play viola.
The thread through all of it is the same: I'm drawn to problems where force leaves a mark — a coronal flare buried in a light curve, a knife-smear of graphite, a bow drawn across a string.
